Rev. Donald Ray Stokes, Sr. , 66 of 5197 Waycross Road, Magnolia, NC (Waycross Community) transitionedon Friday, January 14, 2022 at the family home.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the Sampson County Agri-ExpositionCenter (Heritage Hall) with the Rev. James H. Faison, III officiating.

Burial in the Stokes Family Cemetery, Waycross Community.

Rev. Stokes is survived by his SON -Donald (DJ) Ray Stokes, Jr.; DAUGHTER -Ruthie (Baby) Stokes and their mother, Dr. Marjorie Scriven all of Durham, NC; DAUGHTERS - Charnita (Christopher) Scarborough of Wallace, NC and Catherine Gwinn of Durham, NC; SISTERS -Elouise Jacobsof Magnolia (Waycross Community), Maxine Stokes,Norma Stokes both of Raleighand Dr. Velma Stokes Burdenof Magnolia, NC (Waycross Community); BROTHERS -Willie (Dee) Stokes of Onalaska, WI and Larry Stokes of Magnolia, NC (Waycross Community); 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren .
