Ret. SFC Elliott Wise Godwin, Jr., 77, of Hinesville Georgia, formerly of Clinton, NC passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, November 21, 2025 at Pleasant Grove AME Church,1450 Oglethorpe Hwy, Hinesville, GA 31313.

Burial will follow with full military honors at 3 p.m. in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Glennville, Ga.

Ret. SFC Godwin, Jr. is survived by his WIFE-Toni Godwin; SISTER-Mrs. Belinda Robertson (the late Wilbert); BROTHER-Rev. Dr. Thaddeus Godwin (Eloise); SON-Elliott Corbin; STEPDAUGHTER-Lakenya Daye Rhone (Carlos) a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Carter Funeral Home.
