Rev. Glenwood Hemmingway, 51, of 300 Eastover Avenue, Clinton, NC, died Monday, May 25, 2009,at home.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm, Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Sunset Avenue Elementary School Auditorium, Clinton, NC. Rev. James Mitchell officiating. Burial in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Clinton, NC.

Rev. Hemmingway was a former educator in the Clinton City School System, a church musicianand the current pastor of Wards Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Harrells, NC.

Rev.. Hemmingway is survived by WIFE -Loraine Hemmingway of the home, SON -Steven Hemmingway of Clinton, NC, SISTERS -Lula D. Hemmingway of Clinton, NC, Cynthia Smith of Mt. Olive, NC, Elizabeth Gardner of Henderson, NC, Merlene Burgess and Magalene Bennett both of Benson, NC; BROTHERS -Wesley Hemmingway of Philadelphia, PA, Connell Hemmingway of Clinton, NC, David Hemmingway and Bruce Hemmingway both of Baltimore, MD;and one grandchild.
