Mr. James Edward Chavis , 78, of 680 Isaac Weeks Road, passed away Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2023 at Little Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Alice Jean Boykin officiating.

The burial will follow in the Williamson Family Cemetery.

Mr. Chavis is survived by his WIFE -Dorothy Chavis of the home; DAUGHTER -Monica Chavis of Newport News, VA; SISTERS -Pauline Holiday and Carrie Lee Chavis both of Brooklyn, NY.
