Mr. John Ray ""Pookie"" Murphy , 47, of 1095 Wilmington Hwy., Harrells, NC died Sunday at home.

The funeral service will be held at 1pm, Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Mt. Zion AME Zion Church, Delway, NC with Elder A. D. Brown officiating . Burial in Church Cemetery.

Mr. Murphy survived by WIFE -Beverly Murphy of the home; MOTHER -Geraldine Wells of Clinton, NC; DAUGHTERS -Jessica Faison of Clinton, NC, and Marissa Moore of Harrells, NC; SONS -John Ray Faison of Clinton, NC and Alex Murphy of Harrells, NC; BROTHERS -Rayford Wells, of Clinton, NC and Detrict McLamb of Faison, NC; one grandchild .
