Mrs. Sadie Sampson Warren, 86, of 115 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., Clinton, NC, died Friday at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, NC.

The funeral service will be held at 11am, Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Big Piney Grove Baptist Church, Clinton, NC. Rev. James Mitchell officiating. Burial in the Warren Family Cemetery, Clinton, NC.

"" Miss Sadie "" was the wife of the late Thomas Odell Warren, Sr. She was a member of Big Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church where she served as deaconess and usher.

Known for her cooking, she gave and shared her famous sweet potato pies, German chocolate cake, and fried chicken. She was also renowned for her treasured assortment of church hats. Her spirited personality and ferocious love for her family will live forever in the hearts and minds of her family.

Mrs. Warren is survived by DAUGHTERS -Donna Lenora Warren of Goldsboro, NC and Linda (Lonnie) Herd of Atlanta, GA; SON - Thomas Odell Warren, Jr., of Raleigh, NC; SISTER -Bertha Mae Sampson of Clinton, NC; BROTHER -Johnnie Sampson of Clinton, NC; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
